Leading with empathy, collaboration, and initiative
My design process is grounded in prioritizing UX research. My ethos is centered on forging connections to gain diverse perspectives, cultural insights, and business goals that inform my design decisions. This approach combined with my skill for visual design results in solutions with meaningful impact.
In my previous rewarding careers in pharmacy and medical cannabis, I had the pleasure of interacting with patients daily using quick problem-solving skills and empathy to best meet their needs. Additionally, I had to ensure we were achieving key business metrics as a team.
“Then why UX design?”
Design was actually a part of my journey since my educational and professional beginnings when I developed my skills in visual arts and photography. It wasn’t until university that my interest in design was piqued when I took a biomedical communications course. It highlighted the importance of simplifying complex and even scary medical jargon into visual media that effectively educates, empathizes, and serves patients’ needs.
UX design combines problem-solving, creativity, and the purpose to serve others. It's the perfect path for me.
